Today, on Monday 27th March 2023, Mansoura University honored the winning faculties and teams with Egypt Government Excellence awards of the Ministry of Planning (Third Edition 2022) during “Mansoura University’s Celebration of Government Excellence Awards”.

The attendees were: Prof. Cherif Yousef Khater- President of Mansoura University, Prof. Ashraf Abdel-Basset- Former President of Mansoura University, Prof. Mahmoud Mohamed ElMeligy- Vice-President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Mohamed Attia AlBayoumy- Vice-President of the University for Education and Student’s Affairs, Prof. Ashraf Tarek Hafez- Vice-President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, deans of the faculties, Mr/ Mohamed Abdullatif- General Trustee of the University, vice-deans of the Faculties, heads of teams of government excellence awards, and coordinators of the faculties.

Prof. Cherif Khater confirmed that the ceremony of “Mansoura University of Government Excellence Awards (third edition 2022)” was organized in the framework of the continuous efforts of the Egyptian State in order to continue the comprehensive and sustainable reform process shown by the role of the Ministry of Planning. He stressed the Egyptian State’s Keen on excellence in different governmental sectors and the continuous work on development and offering all services in a unique way for the Egyptian citizen. Besides, he added that this event is considered a stimulating one for the administrative staff of the Egyptian State, and an inspiring one for the employees of the State that is full of energy and positivity. He asserted that success is what makes us continue working and confront challenges.

He noted that Mansoura University received a number of outstanding awards. Thus, it mirrors the uniqueness of the university, and the excellence of work system and offered services. He added that the University will work in upcoming period on spreading the culture of excellence on the level of individuals and different sectors. He asserted that Mansoura University established the first Center for people with Special Needs as well as the first Anti-Violence Against Women unit, on the level of the Egyptian Universities. Thus, it is the only university that received such a prestigious place.

He concluded his talk by confirming the continuation of excellence path inside the University. Further, he thanked and expressed his appreciation for all employees at the Mansoura University for their exerted efforts to continue the cycle of work. Besides, he thanked the teamwork of the award inside Mansoura University and coordinators of the award at University’s various faculties for their exerted efforts in order to apply for the competition.

During the ceremony, the Faculty of Engineering that won the first place in government institution award, category of faculties on the level of the Republic was honored.

There were five faculties that were honored as the best faculties among the faculties of the Republic’s Universities as follows: (Engineering- Medicine- Dentistry- Veterinary Medicine- Law).

There were two teamwork that were honored: the teamwork of professional development at the Faculty of Commerce, and the teamwork of country development of ‘Good Life’ Project for winning the best 10 teams on the level of the Republic. Besides, the category of ‘equal opportunity and women’s empowerment’, these teams were honored among the best 10 teams on the level of the Republic.

The teamwork of the following participant faculties in the competition were honored: (Education- Pharmacy- Commerce- Agriculture- Arts- Nursing- Physical Education-Computers and Information- Specific Education- Tourism and Hotels- Early Childhood Education- Fine Arts).

The teamwork of the General Administration of Organization and Administration were honored as well as the teamwork of competition application, teamwork of University’s assessment, teamwork of equal opportunity, and coordinators of the faculties of the third edition of Egypt Government Excellence Award.
