The Measurement and Assessment Unit was established at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Mansoura University as an administratively and financially independent unit that reports directly to the Dean of the College and technically follows the Measurement and Assessment Center at the university.

Unit Vision:

The Measurement and Assessment Unit at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Mansoura University, seeks to achieve excellence in methods of measurement and evaluation locally and regionally.

Unit Message:

Activating the role of educational measurement and evaluation based on clarity of vision and developing practices based on the procedural definition of these roles, according to the value system that regulates the measurement and evaluation process in general and the university community in particular to meet the requirements of improvement and development and decision-making based on reliable quantitative and qualitative data.

Measurement and Evaluation Unit Objectives

• Spreading the culture of measurement and evaluation and raising awareness of the importance of developing the measurement and evaluation process as one of the approaches to improving the education system in the college at the educational and administrative levels
• Developing mechanisms for evaluating students and exams and announcing the results and investing them in developing and improving the outcomes of the educational process through the measurement and evaluation committees in the unit
• Issuing the required guides in the field of developing evaluation and examination systems in light of the approved national academic reference standards and publishing them in the college
• Preparing trained cadres of faculty members and assistant staff in the college in the field of measurement and evaluation
• Providing the college's needs for experts specialized in the field of measurement and evaluation
• Following up on the preparation and updating of question banks for academic courses in light of the targeted learning outcomes and academic standards for academic programs in the college.
• Follow up on indicators measuring student and faculty satisfaction regarding measurement and evaluation systems and examinations at the college.
• Review and prepare annual reports on evaluating examination work and preparing executive plans for corrective actions for weaknesses and emphasizing strengthening strengths.
• Continuous evaluation of the educational process by measuring the extent to which performance quality standards are achieved for all elements of the educational process.
• Adopt student evaluation systems using modern educational and technological methods.
• Issuing information, statistics and periodic studies on the extent of development in measurement and evaluation systems at the college and the extent of its application of electronic evaluation systems.
• Continuous communication (reports - coordination of visits - attendance of meetings) with the Measurement and Evaluation Center at the university.
