Mansoura University Wins the First Place for its Best Electronic Website in the Results of the Egyptian Universities’Competitions for the Academic Year 2020/2021

Mansoura University won the first place for its best electronic website among the universities, centers and research institutions. This competition is considered the third one of the Egyptian Universities’ competitions for the academic year 2020/2021.

Prof. Khaled Abdel-Ghafaar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced today on Monday the results of the universities’competitions which were launched by the Ministry among the Egyptian Universities.

The attendees were: the Major General/ Ahmed Zaki Abdeen, the Chairman of the Board of Directors at the New Administrative Capital Company, Dr. Ayman Ashour, Vice-Minister for Universities’ Affairs , Prof. Ashraf Abdel-Basset, President of Mansoura University , and presidents of public and private universities which are the winners in different fields as well as directors of centers , institutions and research organizations and higher education leaders.

During the conference of announcing the results of the Egyptian universities for the Academic year 2020/2021 , Prof. Ayman Ashour added that Ain Shams university won the second place while Tanta university won the third place and South Valley university won the repeated third place.

Prof. Mohamed Abdel-Azeem, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University presented a PowerPoint presentation about developing the electronic website of the university by an elite and expert teamwork as well as an electronic administration and digital transformation of the university in order to become a digital university which includes all processes via the Communication and Information Technology Center.

It is noteworthy that the results of universities’ competitions were announced and were launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research among the Egyptian Universities which included a number of fields.

The first competition interested in competing among the universities on the level of the past preparation year while the second competition interested in the universities‘ efforts in facing COVID-19. Further, the third competition interested in the evaluation of the best electronic website among the universities, centers and research institutions which are related to the Ministry of Higher Education. In addition to, the best applied project which is linked to the society , the best public university in the field of postgraduate studies and research and applied published researches according to innovation and their link to the industry, and the best eco-friendly university. Besides, it is interested in the competition among the universities’ students and faculty members to beautify the visual image of the new administrative capital .

In his word, the Minister stressed that the objective of these competitions is to motivate the Egyptian universities and stress the importance of increasing the opportunity of contacting them through competition among them in various fields which depended highly on the goals of the sustainable development which include education, students , scientific research and community service and linking science with industry and local society . He referred to the importance of expanding these competitions within upcoming years to be included a great number of the participation of International universities in order to transfer the competition from being among our Egyptian Universities and other ones to be globally outside Egypt.

Dr. Ayman Ashour, Vice-Minister for Universities’ Affairs pointed out that organizing these competitions is considered a motivational tool for development in all fields of university’s work according to the methodology of work which was followed in these competitions. He thanked the universities and research centers for their outstanding interaction with these competitions. Further, he praised the role of examining committees in all competitions for applying the scientific methodology in evaluating the universities.

Prof. Ashraf Abdel-Basset confirmed that all participants are winners . Besides, these competitions come in the framework of the State’s effort and the Ministry’s to achieve the sustainable development goals. These competitions are considered a new challenge to develop the Egyptian universities in the framework of achieving the sustainable development goals . Further, these competitions uncovered the link of contact among group work and harmonized the relationship among different teamwork which created a good overcome for the development of Egyptian Universities.
