Mansoura University Launches the “Cultural Salon” to Exchange Thought and Promote Awareness

Today on Friday 20th January 2023, Mansoura University launched “the Cultural Salon”. This salon was held in the framework of the University’s seek to carry out the instructions of the President of the Republic of Egypt. These instructions were to activate the methodology of spreading the cultural strategy that came from thoughtful, civilized, cultural, and safe awareness. Further, it was held in the framework of the University’s vision to promote the cultural awareness, exchange it among the cultural and knowledgeable thinkers, and transfer it to the promising young generation.

Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater- President of Mansoura University announced for the launch of “the Cultural Salon” at Mansoura University. He noted that holding this cultural salon at the University is to be an educational thoughtful platform, and to exchange thought and experiences as well as upgrading the level of culture. In addition to, this Salon was held to discuss topics that target the Egyptian matter. It aimed to achieve many purposes such as, upgrading the general taste, promoting the value of belonging to the homeland, spreading the culture of tolerance, accepting others, facing the wrong thoughts that are against the customs, values and university’s rules through promoting the awareness in the University’s community.

The Cultural Salon was opened by the first session entitled: “The Institutional Reform and Governance, a Way to a Professional Educational System”. Prof. Ahmed Gamal ElDin Mousa- Minister of Education and Higher Education, and former President of Mansoura University gave a speech in the session. Besides, it was coordinated by Prof. AbdelKader Mohamed Abdel-Kader- Chairman of the Board of Council of Teaching Staff Club, and a member of the Organizing Higher Committee.
