Effective Strategies for control of animal diseases in Egypt

The workshop entitled "Promoting Strategies for Control of Animal Diseases in Egypt" was held on 20-21 March 2018.

The workshop was held at the University Development Center in collaboration with the University of Tennessee, USA, which was focused on the importance of developing strategies based on Implement biosecurity in farms and research laboratories to maintain human and animal health and achieve safety standards required to control the spread of diseases. The workshop was attended by different faculties: Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Science, Agriculture, Nursing, Home Economics, Animal Health Research Institute, Directorate of Veterinary Medicine and Oncology Center at Mansoura University.

The workshop was inaugurated by Prof. Ashraf Swailam, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Dr. Abdel Moneim El Moneji, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Veterinary Medicine in Dakahlia, Dr. Awad Ahmed Awad, Director of the Solidarity Fund of the Veterinary Syndicate and Dr. Sahar Abdul Rahman ,Assistant Professor of Viruses, Prof. Abdelaziz Fattouh Director of the University Development Center under the auspices of Prof. Nabil Abu Haykal Sayed Ahmed - Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Prof. Adel Al-Tabai Zaghloul - Vice Dean for Community Service and Environment Development.

The workshop was organized by Dr. Fatima El-Zahraa Abdel-Hameed El-Gohary, Professor of Animal Health and Environment and an expert in bio-security in animal farms. It has also lectured by: Dr. Fatima Al-Zahra Abdul-Hamid Al-Gohary and Dr. Mayada Massad Jweideh - Assistant Professor of common diseases and Dr. Mona Mohi Eddin Sayed - lecture of animal health and the environment.

The workshop adopted an active learning method in training the attendees and practical application, which effectively contributed to training the attendees on the use of new techniques. These techniques are contributed to raising the quality of scientific and practical trainees and have been greatly appreciated by them, stressing the importance of such workshops.
