About the unit

1. The Information Technology Unit at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Mansoura University, was established to enhance and support faculty members and students and support them in harnessing information and communication technology to improve the targeted learning outcomes at Mansoura University, while creating modern technological opportunities for faculty members that provide an easy educational environment that meets the needs of students and researchers without relying on time or place.

2. The Information Technology Unit supports e-learning and teaching activities using modern technologies through the Mansoura University educational platform (Moodle system for managing electronic courses) and various assessment and evaluation activities as well as methods of communication and interaction between students and lecturers through chat rooms and e-mail.

3. The Information Technology Unit provides full support to college students to facilitate their use of all activities of the Mansoura University educational platform and raise their efficiency in using it and encourage them to self-learning and find a way for direct interaction between students and faculty members.

Unit objectives:

1. Spreading the culture of e-learning in the college.

2. Helping faculty members to produce and convert their courses into electronic courses.

3. Providing technical support to faculty members, assistants and college students.

4. Supervising the college website and updating it on the Internet.

5. Publishing all news and events related to the college on the website and social networking sites.

6. Following up on the work of the internal network in the college.

7. Carrying out the required expansions to the college's wired and wireless network in coordination with the university network.
