On the sidelines of the 2018 World Youth Forum in Sharm El Sheikh, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, announced that three universities have won the national competition between the public universities on the readiness of the universities to receive the academic year 2018-2019 , the University of Kafr El-Sheikh in the first place , Assiut in the second place, and the University of Mansoura in third place, in implementation of the initiative of Mr. / Abdul Fattah Sisi to choose the best university during the activities of the sixth youth conference held last July at Cairo University.
The competition was conducted according to several evaluation criteria, including: the infrastructure of each university in terms of readiness of classrooms, laboratories and training places, the university's aesthetic form, the academic level in terms of scientific publishing, the percentage of students for faculty members and their website, Personal and medical care, student activities offered to its students, regularity and discipline of the study, and the University's contribution to the service of the community and the development of the surrounding environment.
Dr. Ashraf Abdel Basset, the university's acting president, congratulated faculty members, employees, students and all those who made a sincere effort to improve Mansoura University and to appear in an honorable manner and the university's development in various sectors making it a destination for students and researchers from Egypt and various parts of the world.
