A delegation from the Estonian University of Life Sciences visits the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.

Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, and the leadership of Professor Dr. Tarek Ghaloush, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, and Professor Dr. Maha El-Ashmawy, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine received a delegation from the Estonian University of Life Sciences, represented by Dr. Agnes Kikias and Dr. Kristi Brakel, professors at the university, from Monday, April 14, 2025, to Wednesday, April 19, 2025.
The delegation was received at the Faculty by Prof. Dr. Sabry El-Khodary, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research; Prof. Dr. Angie Fikry Reesha, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Gabr El-Sayed Gabr, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development. Accompanying the delegation from the moment of its arrival was Dr. Sayed El-Alfy, the Faculty's International Relations Coordinator.
The visit began with a meeting with the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine administration, where they were introduced to the Erasmus+ programs and opportunities for academic and research cooperation between Mansoura University and the Estonian University of Life Sciences. During the meeting, ways to enhance future cooperation in the fields of education and scientific research were discussed, as well as opportunities for student and faculty exchange, which would contribute to the development of the faculty's academic and research programs.
The visit also included a lecture for faculty and support staff at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. The Faculty, in cooperation with the International Relations Office, also organized a lecture for graduate students to introduce them to opportunities for academic and research cooperation between the two universities, as well as to highlight the educational opportunities available through the Erasmus+ program.
In addition, the visit included a tour of the laboratories and the central laboratory at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, where the latest technologies and educational practices in the field of veterinary medicine were reviewed. Several vital centers at Mansoura University were also visited, such as the Information and Communication Technology Center, the Mansoura University Center for Vertebrate Paleontology, the Center for Services for Persons with Disabilities, and the Center for Measurement and Evaluation, to enhance cooperation in the fields of information technology and scientific research.
This visit comes within the framework of strengthening international partnerships and exchanging expertise between leading universities worldwide, contributing to the development of higher education and scientific research and promoting innovation in various fields.
