The Conventional PCR & Gel Electrophoresis - Hands-on Workshop, held on Wednesday and Thursday, February 5 and 6, at the Central Laboratory, concluded. The workshop targeted support positions (teaching assistants and assistant lecturers) and graduate students (master's and doctoral degrees) at the college.

14 male and female graduate students and technicians from the college participated in the training course. Professor Hazem Ramadan, Director of the Central Laboratory, provided practical training on the DNA extraction protocol from microbes, primer design, and how to perform polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and gel electrophoresis.
Professor Abdullah El-Maghawry, Technical Support Officer at Agytech, agent for BIO-RAD and New England Biolabs, participated in the practical training.

At the conclusion of the training course, the Dean of the College distributed certificates to the trainees. Her Excellency emphasized the importance of these practical courses offered by the Central Laboratory, which aim to develop the capabilities of researchers and graduate students at the college.
