Within the framework of the activities of the series of religious awareness seminars in cooperation with Al-Azhar Sheikhdom, as part of the activities of the presidential initiative “Bidaya” under the slogan “Bidaya to Build Correct Thought”, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Mansoura University organized a seminar on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, entitled “Freedom and its Controls”, presented by His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Yasser Abdel Azim and His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Reda Al-Shaarawy, where they discussed the concepts of freedom, explaining that freedom is always linked to responsibility, and the legal and social controls that govern freedom were discussed in a way that ensures that acceptable limits are not exceeded or the rights of others are not infringed upon.

The symposium witnessed great interaction from the students who expressed their happiness to participate in such events that enhance intellectual and cultural dialogue between them and educational and religious institutions.

These seminars are held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Attia El-Bayoumi, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Maha Abdo El-Ashmawy, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Engy Fikry Reesha, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ali Maher, Coordinator of Student Activities at the Faculty, Dr. Nadine Diaa Abdel Wahab, Deputy Coordinator of Student Activities, Dr. Fadi Youssef Atallah, Deputy Coordinator of Student Activities, Mr. Basem Mohamed Taher, Director of Student Care at the Faculty, and Mr. Mohamed Aql, Social Specialist.
