From the activities of the second day of the orientation week for new students: A lecture on credit hours and the role of academic guidance
Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Attia El-Bayoumi, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Maha El-Ashmawy, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Dr. Engy Fikry Reesha, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, and within the activities of the second day of the orientation week for new students, Prof. Dr. Fatma Mustafa Abdel Hamid Ibrahim, Professor of Clinical Pathology and General Supervisor of the Academic Guidance Committee at the Faculty, gave a lecture on credit hours and the role of academic guidance, in which she discussed the definition of academic guidance and its objectives in the credit hour system and its role in developing the educational process within the faculty.
She explained the role of the academic advisor as well as the student’s duties towards the academic advisor. She also spoke about how to register academically and stressed the need to adhere to the university’s rules and regulations that serve the student’s interest. Her Excellency stressed the role of the Academic Guidance Committee in supporting the students’ academic progress by providing various guidance services with the aim of meeting their academic needs and helping them develop the various aspects of their personalities and increase their skills in dealing with various difficulties during their educational journey.
