Inauguration of the first forum of international students at Mansoura University
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, opened on Sunday 27/1/2019 the first forum of international students at Mansoura University.
It is worth mentioning that the forum will be hosted by Mansoura University in cooperation with the Central Administration of International Students from 27 to 29 January 2019.
In the presence of Prof. Ashraf Abdulbaset, President of the University, Prof. Abdul Khaliq, former Minister of Higher Education, Prof. Halali Al-Sherbini, former Minister of Education and Technical Education, Dr. Rasha Kamal, Acting Head of the Central Department of Immigrants, Dr. Amr Elhadad, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Subhi Hassanein, Vice-President of the Sports Federation of Universities, and a number of university presidents and cultural advisors to Arab and foreign countries.
The inauguration began with the play of Republican Peace, followed by line of participation of Egyptian universities, and the lighting of the flame. Then Prof. Khaled Abdul Ghaffar gave the start of the first forum of international students presented a series of sports and shows.
The minister stressed the quality of Egyptian education and the ministry's keenness to provide the best climate for its students from foreign students studying in Egyptian universities and institutes and to facilitate all ways and means to help them to obtain knowledge. He pointed out that the ministry will spare no effort in overcoming all obstacles facing them in order to return to their country.
The forum aims at encouraging students to participate in student activities, creating creative environment and expressing identity and belonging, stressing the importance of the forum in that it is a clear message to the world that Egypt is the land of cultures. Peace and love.
Prof. Abdul Ghaffar announced that in the framework of the Ministry's interest in encouraging foreign students to study in Egypt, the initiative was launched in Egypt with the aim of cooperation relations with various countries, attracting foreign students to study in Egypt and increasing their interaction in society through various activities Cultural, artistic, sports, etc).
The Minister also announced the organization of a competition between the Egyptian universities to select the best university attractive to students, noting that the competition will be organized according to several criteria, adding that the winner will be selected according to the plans possessed to attract international students.
He added that the next forum will be organized by the University of Kafr El-Sheikh.
He also inaugurated three units of medical units at the University's Children's Hospital, which were renovated during his visit to the University. These include the Cardiac care Unit, the bone marrow unit, the umbilical stem cell research center at the university, the first public bank within the Egyptian University to preserve stem cells.
He inaugurated the distinguished quality programs offered by the different faculties of Mansoura University, which are required by the labor market needs during the bachelor and postgraduate stages, which include 21 distinguished programs such as Manchester Mansoura Medical, Faculty of Pharmacy, Food Safety and Health Program, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Professional Masters, Faculty of Commerce, Teacher Preparation Program, Faculty of Education.
He also inaugurated the exhibition of special units of the university such as the Center for Arabic Language Teaching, the English Language Center, and the ICT Center.
He honored the number of ambassadors and cultural attachés participating in the events of the first forum for international students in Egyptian universities such as: Ambassador Dr. Widadi Ould Sidi, Ambassador of Mauritania, Dr. Ahmed Al-Mutairi, Cultural Counselor of the State of Kuwait, Dr. Zuhair Saad, cultural counselor of the Iraqi Embassy, Dr. Isle Anwar, Cultural Counselor of Malaysia, Dr. Salah Juweili, Cultural Attaché of the Libyan, Dr. Mohammed Al-Azar, cultural adviser to the Palestine Embassy, Dr. Mohamed Al-Abbadi, the Right Cultural Counselor, Dr. Mohamed Al-Fal, Mauritania's Cultural Counselor, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jazal, Nigeria's Cultural Counselor, and Evelyn Burit, the leading ceramic artist in Egypt.
